Brain wave frequencies explained...somewhat
It has all to do with your neural oscillation, or as it is more commonly known – brain waves – which
naturally occur in 4 frequencies.
The most rapid brain waves, beta waves are generated when we are in ordinary waking state;
..when we close our eyes and become relaxed or unfocused, brain wave activity slows down and we produce alpha waves,
and as we become even more profoundly relaxed we may enter a somewhat trancelike state which produce a very slow brainwave called theta waves;
..the slowest of all produced in a state of almost unconsciousness, deep sleep, coma like, has been labelled delta waves.

Carefully..read it but leave it alone..for now
Kundalini Awakening
Kundalini AwakeningMany sadhus (students of kundalini yoga) desire a kundalini awakening. With much time and effort this can be achieved, although sometimes awakenings spontaneously occur when a practitioner has enough ‘merit’ from previous lifetimes or a state of physiological and karmic purity, which facilitates an awakening without the need for kundalini practices as outlined in kundalini yoga. It is all a question of Pranic energy which is the subtle force behind all other types of energy:including light, heat, magnetic and (bio) electric energy.
Although a kundalini awakening is advantageous, it does not always come without side effects, or discomfort. Especially, when the physical vessel is not purified, a kundalini awakening can cause symptoms (known as kundalini syndrome) such as:
- Heat or tingling (especially on the left side of the body)
- Abnormal sleep
- Restlessness
- Emotional Upheaval
- A feeling of floating or weightlessness
- Spontaneous mudras or kriyas which seem to happen as if directed by someone other than the practitioner
- Jerking of muscles or body parts
- Extreme sexual arousal
- Cold sweats
- Spiritual insights which seem like voices or visions which can be disturbing for those who have not been prepared for the possibility of seeing them and how to interpret them
Most kundalini practices facilitate a kundalini awakening that is very pleasant. To paraphrase the modern writer, Anais Nin, most people ascend slowly and meticulously, like piecing together a very laborious mosaic. It rarely happens all at once. Spontaneous awakenings have been documented, and even thought to have been caused by such simple activities as riding in a car for an extended time and awakening kundalini energy with the vibrations of the vehicle, or during certain practices of Tantric sex.
This is usually not the case with a kundalini awakening. The more energy your physical body and spiritual bodies can hold, the more your consciousness is able to unfold to new heights. For instance, many people experience the sudden loss of desire to take part in actions that previously caused them or others harm, such as drinking excessively or smoking. Some people experience the healing of age old emotional wounds without having to see a psychologist for hundreds of hours of counseling, or they finally become willing to look at their deepest selves through a more ‘traditional’ method of self-introspection in order to heal themselves, whereas before they would not think of it. Still others experience greater moments of bliss, a heightened state of awareness, and more frequent serendipitous events. Since everyone has different energetic blocks to remove or clear in order to have a fully enlightened body and mind, each person will experience a kundalini awakening differently. Just as Jesus arrived at an enlightened state on a different path as Buddha and Walt Whitman arrived at elevated consciousness differently than Shakespeare, there is no question that these individuals are operating on a completely different level of consciousness, and therefore experienced either a partial or full kundalini awakening in their lifetimes.
As environmental support for kundalini awakening rises (such as solar flairs, the placement of the planet in a galactically charged place in the universe, the collective energy pattern of people on the planet rises, etc.) more people will experience both spontaneous and gradual awakenings. People are also becoming fervently agreeable to different types of yoga, and alternative methods of healing the body/mind/spirit, and purifying the physical vessel, and thus it becomes easier for Kundalini Shakti to rise. Instead of focusing on a kundalini awakening, per se, individuals can focus on meditation, yoga and other forms of spiritual practice in order to prepare the body for what the ancients called Nirvana, and allow it to happen organically. It is, after all, our natural state.

Greg Weiss tells us:
Asana can be defined as a physical Yoga posture or position that is designed to help master the body and enhance the body’s functions. Yoga poses are, in essence, Yoga exercises creating strength and endurance, improving circulation and energy flow, cleansing organs and other systems, and expanding muscles and joints. With all these benefits, we can not lose attention to the original purpose of the Yoga pose or Yoga exercise.
Yoga exercises evolved thousands of years ago from the need to create a healthy body, from which, one could move more readily towards a state of oneness and realization. A more open, vital physical body allowed one to acquire more comfort in seated meditations for extended periods of time. When the body is cluttered with stress, tension, and disease, this clouds the mind and one’s the ability to connect with the inner self. The physical freedom attained from the Yoga exercises increases one’s ability to sit with silence and joyful observation.
The practice of Hatha Yoga (Yoga exercises) can be easily moved into a state of Ego where one brings expectations and goals into the Yoga poses. Rather than connecting with the Inner Self, the practice of Yoga exercises moves one deeper into the physical reality of disillusion.
Western culture has easily turned Yoga exercises into another form of superficial workout routines and, rather than having a holistic connection, many people are moving to a place of obsession with the body and its’ achievements. Asana can be described as a physical state of the body such that the posture moves one into an existence of wholeness and steadiness allowing one to reflect inwards on the entire being.
This state of steadiness involves no goals, no future, and no analyzing – just observing the how the physical self receives vitality and openness while enabling the mind to explore clarity. One can appreciate that health and wellness are derived by holistic progression – applying effort to the body and encouraging it to adapt. Adaption, though, is an intention drawing energy from the future – wanting to have a certain level of flexibility or strength by a certain point of time. Does this have relevance in the immediate practice? Our bodies change from one day to the next. Are we not better served to practice based on the body’s needs in that moment – tending to blockages and resistance specific to the life pattern of recent cycles?
A sub-layer of our Hatha practice is finding that balance of progression while savouring the present – learning to tune out the Ego who is asking us push past the muscle receptors cry to ease off and ‘just breathe’. A beautiful way to retain holistic intentions within the practice is to continually breathe in awareness to the ultimate benefit of each pose – What is its’ purpose? What are the proper alignment forms? How does this serve the bigger picture in my physical and spiritual life? Is the approach and intention I am proceeding with this pose taking me closer or farther away from those benefits?

Spiritualism is actually contacting the spirits of the Dead...do you mean Spirituality?
The church ripped off the people for their ability to have as much spiritual skill, knowledge and power as the maguses/priests of old. We all have Chakras and the connections to the creator within, and the inner guidance to fulfill ourselves.
